This series of photographs were
taken at the home of Birte Walter in
San Francisco during the course of
a delicious lunch prepared by our host.
We chose to photograph objects and
still lifes that she has composed through-
out her living environment. These found
objects are in a constant state of flux
depending on her mood. Sometimes things
are juxtaposed by color, texture, subject
matter or just bizarre relationships some
objects have with one another.
She demonstrates how one can extend
their passions into their daily life.
Birte was an undergratuate at CCAC in
Ceramics. After graduating she was able
to turn her fascination with found objects
into a life long career as a photo stylist.
She continues to pursue her addiction
for collecting and is currently in search of
more storage space.
